Here's how to install Fortnite for Android


Fortnite for Android was shown some time ago. However, until recently, its developer, Epic Games, decided not to launch Fortnite for Android through the Google Play Store. That has now changed. You can download and install Fortnite for Android directly from the Google Play Store or get it through the Epic Games app. We have download and install methods here.

Download and install Fortnite for Android through the Google Play Store

Most Android smartphones and tablets have a preinstalled Google Play Store. To get Fortnite, just search for the game in the Google Play Store and then when you find it, click the Install button.

Note: Don't search the Epic Games app on the Google Play Store to get Fortnite. Epic Games are still choosing not to run this app for Google Play.

If you choose, you can still get the Fortnite installer for Android through the Epic Games app. You will first need to download and install it on your smartphone, then download and install Fortnite for Android. Since this app is not in the Google Play Store, this is how you get the app:

Use a web browser on your phone and go to Fortnite.com/Android URL.
You should see a banner informing you of the Epic Games app. Click on it.
You will see a warning that this type of file may harm your device. Click "OK" to continue anyway.
Then you will see the downloaded EpicGamesApp.apk file. Click on the "Open" link.
You may be told that your browser cannot install applications from this source. Then you will have to go to your browser settings and click the slider or option to allow the browser to install the app from this source.
Finally, the Epic Games app will ask if you want to install it. Touch the "Install" option to do this.
Epic Games app should now be installed on your Android device.

Download and install Fortnite for Android with the Epic Games app - download and install the game

Now we will actually download and install Fornite for Android from Epic Games app. Here we will explain how to do it.

Click the newly installed Epic Games app icon on your phone.
You should see a huge Fortnite banner, along with other only Epic Games for Android, Battle Breakers. Click the Fortnite logo.
You should see a popup asking you to install the game. Click the "Install" button.
You should see the button become a progress bar while downloading the app and installing Fortnite.
Finally, the app will show you two buttons; One to uninstall Fortnite and another to start Fortnite. Touch the start button.

Download and install Fortnite for Android through the Epic Games - Samsung Galaxy Store app

If you have a Samsung Android smartphone or tablet, you can go to the Galaxy Store and install the Epic Games app on your device. This eliminates the need to go to the Fortnite website. Once installed, just follow the above procedure to install Fortnite for Android.

Download and install Fortnite for Android - hardware or software system requirements
Before using the Fortnite for Android installer, make sure your smartphone or tablet meets or exceed the following hardware or system software requirements:

Android 8.0 or later
3 GB of free onboard storage
At least 4 GB of system RAM
GPU requirements: Qualcomm Adreno 530 or higher, ARM Mali-G71 MP20, ARM Mali-G72 MP12 or higher
If your phone or tablet meets or exceeds these specifications, you can run Fortnite for Android.

Fortnite support for Android 60FPS devices

Various smartphones allow Fortnite for Android to operate at 60fps. Below is the current official list, although other phones can play the game at a high frame rate as well.
